TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions for Use and Access to the VPC

Access to and use of the Virtual Presentation clinic (VPC) is provided by Narcaid subject to the following terms: By using the VPC you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of VPC. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access and/or use the VPC.

1. Your Account

If you use the VPC website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your User ID and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

Narcaid reserves the right to refuse access to the VPC website, terminate accounts, or cancel licences at our discretion. Due to the nature of the VPC material (i.e. once access has been provided the information in the VPC can be easily copied and used without the knowledge or permission of Narcaid) under no circumstances will VPC licence fees be refunded once user access has been recorded.

1.1 Evaluation Licences

Evaluation licences are issued at the discretion of Narcaid. These licences are only valid for the period of 12 weeks from initial set up after which time the licences will expire automatically.

1.2 Private Purchase Licences

Private Purchase VPC Licences are purchased directly via completing the Registration Form on the Narcaid web site. These licences are valid for the period of 1 year. An option to renew VPC membership will be offered one month before the expiry date. If membership is allowed to lapse, then reapplication via the web site will be necessary.

1.3 Block Licence Scheme

The VPC Block Licence Scheme allows employers to purchase a set of licences at a discounted rate for their staff to use.

  • The Account Manager’s role it is to coordinate the initial distribution of licences on behalf of the employer client, to monitor usage and reallocate licences if required.
  • The account is said to be “enabled” once the account manager has been set up and generic licence code has been issued to the account manager for the account.
  • The period of validity of the block licence is 1 year from the account being enabled.
  • Three months notice will be given by Narcaid to the account manager when the block licenses are due for renewal.
  • No refund or discount can be claimed by the client if any of the licences remain unused, unassigned or fully utilised.
  • Additional blocks of licenses can be purchased at any time - the costs of these licenses will be discounted based on the TOTAL amount of licenses that will be held by that company at the time of purchase.

The service offered by the Narcaid ECODA Unit is designed for professional ambulance personnel and other emergency care practitioners. Our training programmes are designed to teach drug awareness (rather than medical skills) to inform clinical judgment. Individual clinical judgment must be exercised in each presentation according to pre-existing training.
